Description
A late 19th century gold garnet and diamond hinged bangle. Of crossover design, the pear-shape garnet cabochon and rose-cut diamond bud asymmetric terminals, with acanthus leaf accents. French assay marks. Inner diameter 5.8cms. Weight 17.9gms.
Condition
  • Overall condition good. Some surface scratches in keeping with general age and wear.
  • Diamonds well matched.
  • Cut, size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.

  • Garnets are a well matched, deep, moderately dark red hue.
  • Width of hollow bangle 0.5cm.
  • Width (at widest) 1.8cms.
