An early 20th century 15ct gold amethyst and split pearl pendant. The oval-shape amethyst and split pearl cluster, with seed and split pearl floral wreath surround, amethyst drop and detachable surmount. May be worn as a brooch. Length 5.2cms. Weight 6.8gms.

Condition

Overall condition fair to good. Minor surface scratches/wear in keeping with general age and wear.

Amethyst and split pearl central cluster replacement, with soft solder visible to the reverse.

Amethyst drop possible replacement.

Surmount is detachable.

Amethyst light to medium purple, fairly well saturated, with good to fair clarity and typical inclusions.

Split pearls vary slightly in appearance with a white to slightly greyish-white, some pink overtones and fairly good to muted lustre.

Seed pearls untested for natural origin.

Stones in good condition with minor abrasions.

Stamped 15ct to floral wreath surround.
