An early 20th century gold amethyst and split pearl brooch. The oval-shape amethyst, within a split pearl surround, to the split pearl scroll sides. Length 4.1cms. Weight 5.6gms.

Overall condition good. Minor surface scratches/wear in keeping with general age and wear.

One imitation pearl replacement. All the split pearls appear to be replacements. They are fairly well matched.

Amethyst medium body colour, well saturated, with good clarity, however there is a fairly large inclusion to the girdle edge.

Stones in good condition with minor abrasions.
