RARE AMERINDIAN ‘’WAR CLUB SKULL-CRACKER’’. Plains Indians Ca 1875.
The head of this skull cracker is made of an ovoid shaped heavy stone 14cms (5 ½’’) long. This head is attached to a 50 cms (20’’) cylindrical handle by a buckskin collar covered with yellow and blue porcupine quills and white glass beads. The end of the handle is covered with a hair covered rawhide sleeve and a wrist strap.
