China, Neolithic / Machang Period, ca. 3000 to 2000 BCE. Large pottery vessel in a very rare double vessel form. Lower jar is your typical red and black decorated jar with twin handles, but a smaller jar with different decoration sits atop. Rare and fabulous! Size: 11" W x 14" H (27.9 cm x 35.6 cm)
