These were modified from the model 1865, all were government contracted. Right side stamped "P" & "FCW", the cartouche on left grip is visible but not readible. Top of barrel has the Navy anchor and stamped "J.M.B.C." "1". Typical rolling block action with one piece walnut grip and forend. Metal is a soft brown patina, stocks are very good with usual dings, strong clean bore. Nice example of early Naval pistol.
