Condition
Good. Madame de Rémusat's full name is penned, calligraphically (by later owners), above her printed name, on the Volume I title page. A brief family lineage is also written on the adjacent page. The covers, dark brown morocco spines and corners, marbled boards, gilt lettering and decoration, are structurally sound, but with a number of scuffs, including surface tears. The spines are straight. The gilt is unfaded. The attachments to the insides are secure, with no covers loose. The overall appearance is good. The bindings are tight, with no loose or missing pages. There are no tears or creases.
