Rink recounts the Eskimo ways of life, means of livelihood, language, customs, laws, social order, religious life, superstitions, traditions, artistic endeavors, poetry, music, and handicrafts, as well as medical and scientific knowledge as derived from experience and observation. Includes 150 Eskimo tales and legends. The illustrations were designed, drawn and engraved by the Natives of Greenland. Scarce in original cloth.
Condition
Wear and soiling to binding with rubbing to extremities, dark spot on front board, minor corner bumps; hinges repaired, bookseller's paper label on front pastedown, previous owner's name on half-title, light foxing to preliminaries and endpapers; very good.
