Silas Hoadley Transitional Shelf Clock, Plymouth, Connecticut, c. 1830, mahogany case topped by a stenciled splat with split columns flanking the full length door, all on French feet, painted wood dial, stenciled and reverse-painted lower table, very nice label "Clocks. Arranged and Manufactured by Silas Hoadley, Plymouth, (Conn.)", thirty-hour, weight driven, wooden works clock with key wind and pendulum. Many Silas Hoadley which depict a home or building on the reverse painted glass tablet, are actual homes in the Town of Plymouth and surrounding Connecticut towns of the time period. Measures approx. 29" tall x 17" wide x 4 1/2" deep.
