Description

EPHRAIM DOWNES / GEORGE MITCHELL PILLAR AND SCROLL MANTEL / SHELF CLOCK, (updated 4/24/2024) 30-hour wooden works, with original reverse-painted tablet depicting a distant town set into a landscape with an eglomise border, door key, winding key, pendulum, and two weights present. Interior retains original label. Case retains an old refinished surface with warm color. Circa 1820. 30 3/4" HOA.

Collection of Higgs-Chope, Williamsburg, VA.

Condition

Very good condition overall with minor scattered finish wear. Working when removed from house (see Catalogue Guarantee).
