Description

COLONIAL AMERICAN IRON-FRAMED SPECTACLES
Hand-forged iron-framed folding spectacles, approx 4 3/4" x6" unfolded, with approx. 1" dia. oval glass lenses. The stems are hinged at the temples, and again 4" along their length, terminating in circular loops to fit the sides of the wearer's head. A paper tag present with the item dates them to circa 1650. Unmarked, very good.
