REVOLUTIONARY WAR-ERA PEWTER SPOONS
Good group of three pewter spoons, each 7 1/2" long, two with the bluish tint indicative of a higher lead, and the third with a bright finish. Two spoons feature circular bowls, while the third bears a more recognizable elongated bowl. The end of the handle of this latter example bears a modeled design in the shape of a bust in profile in the Greco-Roma style, while the underside of the bowl is decorated with fine molded scrollwork. The second spoon is stamped inside the bowl with a crest comprised of a crown with the initials "H K", possibly indicating manufacture in Hong Kong, above a chrysanthemum. The third example features a forked pattern at the end of the handle, with the molded image of a woman among floral motifs. One spoon bears a small repaired crack in the bowl, and all three bear expected age wear, else very good.
