STEUBEN LEASES THE LAND AT HIS NEW YORK FARM Good content manuscript D.S. "Steuben", 4pp. legal folio, [New York], Mar. 3, 1787, an indenture between "Frederick William Baron Steuben" and "John Conradt Kimmel" in which Steuben rents lands at his farm "Louvre" in Manhattan: "...bounded on the East by the East River on the West by the High Road leading to Kings Bridge...excepting the enclosed Garden and adjoining Mansion house..." with other clauses concerning hay and fruit to be made available to Steuben, rights of access, etc. Signed on the final page.
