Description
A fine Pre-Columbian grayware vessel, ca. AD 1100 – 1450, this well-made Chimu bottle is decorated with a band of wave designs encircling the upper half of the chamber. A nicely detailed bird adorns the spout and the broad strap handle is intact. H: 7 1/8 in. Nicely burnished, good mineral deposits, with cross design on the bottom most likely a maker's mark. Ex Espinoza estate.
