Lovely Bru child with head incised "Bru Jne 12" on the back. Brown paperweight eyes, open/closed mouth with slight space between the lip, deep dimple in the chin, pierced ears, well-painted lashes and brows and nice even coloring. Head swivels on a separate bisque shoulder which is incised on one side "Bru Jne" and on the other "No. 12". Shoulder plate is attached to the original Chevrot body with kid over metal upper arms, hinged joints at the elbows with lovely original bisque forearms, joints at the lower leg where is meets the wooden lower legs. She is well-attired in a burgundy pleated silk dress with lovely panels of ecru lace, maroon velvet sash at waist, similar collar with beads and matching hat, and also wearing an antique honey human hair wig with center part (no pate found). In addition, she has old underwear, lovely pink socks with inset lace at top and wearing the original black leather shoes impressed on the soles "Bru Jne PARIS 9". There is a very faint old hairline in the top center of the forehead extending to the center of the forehead and a well restored chip to the pinky finger on the left hand. One does not see the issue on the forehead unless illuminated by a bright light from within. (Very Good). 26-1/2'' T.
