English Carved Pine Artist's Lay Figure, first half 19th century, with fully articulated ball joints and incised facial features, h. 15-1/2", w. 4-1/2". Provenance: The Flatt Collection.

Left foot is detached and needs to be repaired at the joint. Right forearm is likely an older replacement. Right shoulder and elbow ball joints have two small shrinkage cracks. Ankle and elbow edges and nose tip have a few tiny losses (abrading). Some scattered nicks and scratches to stain throughout. In good estate condition. Condition is as to be expected with age and utilitarian use.
