Pre-Columbian, Peru, ca. 500 BCE. This is a kaolin canchero or water dipper (also known as a corn popper) painted with a creamy brown color and decorated with blacks and reds in a geometric band. Size: 12.8" L x 8.75" W x 4" H (32.5 cm x 22.2 cm x 10.2 cm)
