AMERICAN HISTORICAL PRESIDENTIAL CHINTZ FABRIC FRAGMENT, roller printed in brown with Andrew Jackson in center and other images of presidents, American eagle, and the frigate, Constitution; surface retains some glaze. No printer's marks. French or English production. Circa 1829. 24" x 17 1/4".
Good visual condition overall with clean separation at lower 1/3, with minor staining and several minute holes.
Literature: Printed design as in Collins - Threads of History, p. 78, Number 70.
Provenance: Property from the collection of Robert and Patsy Hassert, Strasburg, VA.
