Description
Pre-Columbian, north coast of Peru, Sican / Lambayeque culture, ca. 750 to 1370 CE. This is a beautiful pottery jar in the form of a duck, with a flared, conical spout in the center of its back and a pronounced, flared foot. Fine red and cream slipped details as well as black outlines complete the decoration. Size: 6.8" L x 3.75" W x 4.95" H (17.3 cm x 9.5 cm x 12.6 cm)
Provenance: Ex - Reid collection acquired in the 1970's
