Item Details

Description

Lot of two framed pre civil war Indiana militia manuscripts. Includes a total of six separate sheets of paper, framed together in two separate frames. All appear to be circa 1826 and most are addressed to or by Captain Samuel G. Thompson of the 8th Co. 30th Reg. Indiana Militia. Condition: may have minor signs of normal use to frames, papers held in frames are in good condition considering age, minor burn marks, small holes, etc, as expected, see images. Larger frame measures 20" wide x 16.5" tall, and the smaller measures 21" wide x 14" tall. Weight: 9.5 lbs.
