Description
A framed Civil War officer promotion from Oliver P. Morton, Governor for the State of Indiana, to Hiram Evans the office of 1st Lieutenant of Co. E., 49th Regiment of the Indiana Volunteer Infantry dated 18th of October 1861 also an 1864 letter from a Union soldier Thomas Bundy to a Mr. Pollett describing the capture by Rebels of men from Company H. Bundy died in 1927 at the age of 91 in Greenfield, Hancock County, Indiana
