Description
Europe, Spain, Andalusia, Granada, ca. mid-19th century CE. A large and lovely mid-19th century example of a blue on white "Granadino" pottery "lebrillo" (basin) created in the city and capital of the province of Granada, in Andalusia, Spain. This basin is decorated with a gorgeous design comprised of a large flower with leafy tendrils on the tondo and a repeated concentric semi-circular motif encircling the interior walls, all in deep cobalt over a cream hued glaze. A wonderful example of traditional Granada pottery. Size: 3.5" L x 12" W (8.9 cm x 30.5 cm)
