Description
India, 19th century CE. This is a hand-carved puppet head painted in a realistic style with bright colors and an expressive face. This was part of a hand puppet, where the puppeteer would put his arm up a costume and grasp the wooden base below the head. Atop the puppets head is a coiled headdress topped by a small, bald human head. Definitely a piece to spark conversation! Comes with custom stand.
