Description
India, 19th century CE. This is a hand-carved wooden puppet head with an expressive male face and impressive mustache and beard. This was part of a hand puppet, where the puppeteer would put his arm up a costume and grasp the wooden base below the head. Atop the puppets head is a coiled headdress topped by a small, bald human head. Definitely a piece to spark conversation! Comes with custom stand. Size: 4" W x 7.2" H (10.2 cm x 18.3 cm)
