Description
A pair of Egyptian steatite scarabs. The first is a 2nd Intermediate example, c. 1750 – 1570 BC, with nicely textured wing cases and a lion on the base. (19x13mm). The second is from the New Kingdom, c. 1570 – 1075 BC, with a cow standing amidst papyrus stalks on the base. (17x13mm). Both nice examples and holed lengthwise for suspension. Ex Los Angeles private collection.
