Description
Southern Italy, Greek colony of Apulia, ca. 340 to 320 BCE. One of my favorite styles of Greek pottery! Stemmed cup with two high sweeping handles painted on each side with the ubiquitous Lady of Fashion. She wears a saccos, pearl necklace and golden earrings, line of waves beneath her on each side and band of tongues along the top. A lovely style of ancient pottery! Size: 6.375" W x 9" H (16.2 cm x 22.9 cm)
