Pre-Columbian, Nazca culture, Peru South Coast, ca. 100 to 400 CE. This is a bright polychrome bowl with a deep red interior and bottom exterior; in a wide band around the exterior rim is a black background with cream and dark red swirling designs whose artists may have seen a whirlpool or cloud for inspiration. Size: 6.75" W x 3.25" H (17.1 cm x 8.3 cm)
