Unusual “George Washington” Design Centennial Ribbon
c. 1876 Commemorative Centennial Silk Ribbon, Central “George Washington” Portrait, Scarce design with Ornate Militaria displayed, Extremely Fine.
The first of this unusual George Washington Centennial Silk Ribbon, measuring 3" x 9" with a 2” central portrait within a laurel wreath design. Absolutely Scarce. The glazed black printed design is on tan Silk, previously laid down for preservation and likely display on white cotton fabric backing which has some minor mounting remnants. A truly interesting and quite nice Washington collectible. The first we have seen of this design.
