Description

Camille Sebastien Nachet (Paris), brass compound monocular drum microscope. The drum base housing a manual spring-loaded specimen clamp. Single pillar, coarse focus is by push tube, fine focus by a knob on the support. Single tube and eyepiece, one objective. Circa mid to late 19th C. Approximate height retracted 13½ inches. Also included a hardbound book, Les Catalogue des Microscopes Construits par A. Nachet, Annees 1854-1910. Editions Alain Brieux, Paris 1979. In French.
