Description
An interesting railroad lantern frame that has a brass top and the Railroad Signal Lamp & Lantern Company hallmark on the brass top. It is stamped PRR in block lettering on the lid. The bail is a most unusual example where a brass tube was inserted over the steel bail before it was shaped into a C and crimped on. The bell is copper and has a real different look to it. It looks like a one-off from the bottom view. The tin fount and brass burner seem to be standard.
The globe is a nice MacBeth 220 Pearl Glass extended base with P.R.R. etched in fat block lettering. The globe is thick and nice.
