Item Details
Description
Southeast Asia, Laos, Neolithic, ca 3000 BCE. This is an intact example of a stone tool from Laos. Celts, also known as adzes or axes, were used as chopping or digging tools from prehistoric times until the early 20th century. The fine carving and still-sharp blade of this one suggests that it is a late example. Size: 6" L x 1.875" H (15.2 cm x 4.8 cm)
