Description
An Egyptian sandstone relief, New Kingdom, c. 1570 – 1075 BC, depicting four male figures wearing kilts, their hands raised in adoration. The figures stand in rows, side by side, the outline of the farther figure visible just in front of the foreground figure. This style of relief was seen during the Amarna period during the reign of Akhenaten, c. 1353 – 1336 BC. 11 in x 10 ¾ in (28 x 27.4 cm). Mounted on a nice custom stand. Ex New York City gallery collection.
