1737 dated Pennsylvania German school girl's needlework on linen 22 1/2" (length) x 11 1/4" (width) sampler show towel. Contains three sets of initials: "TB" / "MMB" / "MIEB", and a two-line inscription in German which includes the apparent family name: "Blanck" or "Branck". [Provenance: Collection of Nan Bers, Rydal, PA.] CONDITION: Fringe loss at bottom edge. Minor & sporadic fading & stains.
