DESCRIPTION: Plains Indian ball-headed war club. Red-stained skin covering with red stained leather and beaded details. PROVENANCE: From the Collection of the Col. Sanford C. Lewis that was donated to the Franklin County Library, PA. Lewis (1846-1923), became mayor of Franklin, PA in 1887 after numerous entrepreneurial endeavors and collecting. MEASUREMENTS: 22-1/4" long. CONDITION: Minor wear to surface including toning. Remnants of museum cataloging codes.
