DESCRIPTION: Lucille Cohn (American, D. 2010). Embroidered tapestry of multi-colored leaves on a tree against a cloudy background. Signed lower right. Lucille Cohn devoted most of her life to various forms of art, including piano playing, singing, painting, tapestries, and writing poetry and prose. At the end of World War II, Lucille played piano and sang at various V.A. hospitals. She also did volunteer work for the New York Foundling Home. Her oil paintings were exhibited in a one-woman show in New York City, and at the Berkshire Museum where she had another showing of her creative tapestries. PROVENANCE: From a prominent Kings Point, New York Estate. MEASUREMENTS: 32-1/2" x 16". CONDITION: Minimal wear to surface consistent with handling.
