Description: Bronze sculpture of the head of Shiva. One of Hindu's supreme deities, he comes in many forms. The hooded cobras next to his ears and long moustache are but one form of Shiva. A benevolent human like form is depicted in this bronze sculpture.
History: Shiva , meaning "The Auspicious One", also known as Mahadeva ("Great God"), is one of the three major deities of Hinduism. Shiva is distinct from Vishnu and Brahma yet one with them. He is Anant, one who is neither found born nor found dead.
