Description: Vintage Mayan Figurine Statue. Three headed terracotta depiction of unusual design, possibly shamanistic in origin. Possibly a representation of Xbalanque in a traditional Kekchi design, his three faces allow him to see into the underworld.
History: The precious ceramic objects were manufactured in numerous workshops distributed over the Mayan kingdoms, some of the most famous being associated with the 'Chama-style', the 'Holmul-style', and the so-called 'Ik-style'.
