China, Nothern Song (Sung) Dynasty, ca. 11th to 12 century CE. Stoneware. Jun ware shallow bowl on short foot covered with sky blue glaze, draining to a mushroom tone at the rim, the glaze pooling unevenly above the unglazed neatly pared ring foot. Size: 6" W x 1.25" H (15.2 cm x 3.2 cm)
