Chinese Song Dynasty Jun Kiln Porcelain Bowl. The porcelain potted with a shallow body, slight deep, thick, flaring rim with angled cavetto elevated the steep sides upward the close mouth rim, raised on ring foot base slight concave. From the top to the bottom, the variable glazes include red and blue colors, thick, multicolored, brilliant like sunset glow. The surface of the glaze has a fluid appearance with a splash of purplish colors melting together to create abstracted effect against a turquoise-green ground underglaze. Smooth surfaces are covered in a mixture of green and blue giving it an artistic feel. Glazed to perfection with each flattened side reflecting light and drawing in the attention of the eye.The underside unglazed, revealed the pale-creme ground revealed and dark greyish brown spotted firing marks and edge-cut foot rim.
