Description
A 1920's silver christening mug of plain cylindrical form with personal inscription, hallmarked Birmingham 1929, height measuring 3 1/2 inches (9 cm). Together with a pair of Edwardian silver open salts, Birmingham 1902, an Edwardian silver bonbon dish, hallmarked Birmingham 1909, an early twentieth century silver pepper, Chester 1910 and a modern silver bonbon dish, Sheffield 1977. Gross weight 10.4 ozt (325 grams). (5).
Condition
In varied state. The lot displays general scratches, marks wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. A number of dents to the mug, bonbon and pepper. Lid to pepper with missing finial and differing hallmarks to body. Hallmarks in varied state but overall legible.
