United States, Native American, Mesa Verde region, Anasazi, Pueblo III, ca. 1100 to 1300 CE. Large and very attractive pottery jar. Black over white slip with tall thinning neck and strap handle, with repeating triangular designs within triple black rule, twin zig-zag pattern around upper rim. Size: 7"H (17.8 cm).
Provenance: Ex-private Los Angeles, California collection acquired on a private Ranch in the 4-corners area of Colorado.
