Description
Pre-Columbian, Peru, Moche V, ca. 550 to 950 CE. An attractive late Moche vessel with a globular body, an elongated straight spout bridged to the shoulder by a single handle, on a short splayed foot. The body is skillfully adorned with organic motifs applied in red on white slip. Size: 7" x 4-3/4 from handle.
Provenance: Ex-private P. Davis collection, Santa Monica, CA, acquired before 1995.
