Description
Greece, Cyprus, Early Bronze II Period, ca. 2900 to 2650 BCE. A bulbous, hand-built pottery bottle with a bulbous body, twin small perforated shoulder lugs, a tubular neck and slightly flared rim. The surface is painted with red striations that sometimes interweave and overlap with one another. A lovely vessel, probably intended to hold oil or water. Size: 4" in diameter x 4.5" H (10.2 cm x 11.4 cm)
