Northwestern Iran, Luristan, ca. late 2nd to early 1st millennium BCE. Gorgeous bronze sword with spooled pommel, rounded handle, wide blade with large blood ridge and fine herringbone pattern along length of blade on each side. Blade has developed a stunning patina! Size: 19-7/8" L.
Provenance: Ex-private Ketchum, ID collection acquired at major UK auction house/gallery between 1989 and 1999.
