Description
Ancient Near East, Northwestern Iran, Luristan, ca. 1200 to 800 BCE. A cast-bronze short sword with a lunate shoulder, a thick handle, and a lengthy blade. The blade exhibits sharpened edges, a smooth midrib, and a pointed tip. The surfaces have developed naturally-occurring layers of green and brown patina. Size: 17.1" L x 2.125" W (43.4 cm x 5.4 cm)

Chips to blade edges, with light earthen deposits, and slight bending to overall form, otherwise in great condition. Nice patina throughout.
