Description
Pakistan / Baluchistan, Indus Valley, Nal culture, ca. 2800 to 2600 BCE. Lovely and very rare pottery cup decorated in shades of red, yellow and black over pinkish clay. On low foot with two brightly colored birds adorning the sides with two abstract crosses and other geometric patterns in the field between. Rare to find an authentic example. Size: 4-1/2" in diameter.
Provenance: Ex-private southern California collection, acquired before 2000.
