(1895-1946) SS leader in the Soviet Union, personally responsible for ordering the deaths of 100,000 Jews and other "undesirables". Sentenced to death and hung at Riga. A.E.S. at the conclusion of a manuscript D.S., 2pp. large 4to., [n.p.], Feb. 20, 1933, an assessment of SS Sturmfuhrer Karl Bock in Stuttgart who is seeking a promotion. Jeckeln pens four lines at the end, stating that Bock's promotion to Sturmhauptfuhrer is approved as his assessment is exceptional. Very good.
