Description
BALTIMORE, MARYLAND DECORATED STONEWARE PITCHER, salt-glazed, "2" gallon capacity mark, ovoid body with incised shoulder ring, cylindrical neck, rounded rim, strap handle, and pronounced foot. Brushed cobalt four-bloom double-stem floral decoration on front and feathers flanking spout, additional cobalt at handle terminals. Probably the pottery of Peter Herrmann (1825-1901). Circa 1870. 13 1/2" H, 6 1/2" D rim.
