A Very Fine Zacatecas Female Figure West Mexico, c. 250 BC – 250 AD Of classic form, the head with a flat top, open eyes and mouth, arms curving to hands on her abdomen, large breasts outlined with dots, stripes on neck, shoulders, and lower legs. Black stripes on face, chest, abdomen, and in wavy vertical lines down back. Compressed body and head, hollow earthenware, with red-brown, white, and black pigments on tan. In very good, intact condition, no visible repairs or restorations, root marks have lifted the paint in thin lines on back, minor corrosion and small chips on top of head.
