A Fabergé Diamond-Set Gold and Plique-à-Jour Enameled Pendant Fabergé, Workmaster August Holmström, St. Petersburg, before 1899 0-7/8 x 0-5/8 inches (2.3 x 1.6 cm) 2 grams (gross) In original Fabergé egg-form red Morocco presentation case. A virtually identical pendant acquired by Queen Alexandra is in the Royal Collection (RCIN 14584), also depicting irises in an Art Nouveau style (cf de Guitaut, C., Fabergé in the Royal Collection, Royal Collection Trust, London: 2004, illus. no. 244). The Royal piece is engraved Fabergé with no workmaster's marks, but the offered lot is stamped with Holmström's mark, and no Fabergé mark.
